Today’s communication systems involve multiple vendors. There are many things to consider when planning a network, such as:

  • highly specialized carrier services
  • firewalls and security concerns
  • access designs
  • voice and data integration opportunities
  • wireless communications—both wide and local area
  • VoIP systems
  • router size and type
  • bandwidth requirements
  • wiring plant design
  • restoral and back up options
  • and literally hundreds of different equipment options, just to name a few.

There may be other concerns you will need to address depending upon your situation, and NAP will take an objective and pragmatic perspective of your situation—a dramatic contrast from the perspective an equipment manufacturer or carrier will take.

NAP maintains its objectivity while assisting you in sorting out all of your options. We will explore all options, analyze the data, make recommendations, reach consensus, and produce detailed engineering drafts for the final design. If NAP is utilized for implementing the solution, we will incorporate those drafts into a final, secure, web-accessible project portfolio, along with the final digital photographs of your newly installed system. See a sample of one of our engineering designs below.

Available Network Design Consulting Services:

  • On-site network analysis for performance and inventory purposes using LAN and WAN sniffers.
  • On-site technical and project management support.
  • Network implementation strategies.
  • Site surveys for information gathering and documentation purposes.
  • Equipment  recommendations, evaluations, provisioning, and configuration.
  • Documentation of existing network topology and infrastructure.
  • Network proposals with detailed diagrams, provisioning models, and bandwidth availability.
  • Review of network analysis with documentation of findings.
  • Other consulting or design services as requested by the customer.

CUSTOMER BENEFITS

  • An objective, pragmatic, and “fresh eyes” approach to designing your network—unencumbered by dependencies on specific carriers or equipment manufacturers.
  • A business partnership offering experience and knowledge of telecommunications services and topologies. The average years-of-experience for NAP employees is in excess of 18 years.
  • Augmentation of existing resources by allowing internal resources to focus on core business and not the project.
  • A single point-of-contact for customer, if NAP is engaged as the deployment contractor, taking projects from design phase through installation and turn-up.
